Oral rehabilitations concepts with fixed prosthesis in partially edentulous patients have significantly evolved in the last decade. This evolution was manly driven by current therapies with dental implants on one hand, and the fast adoption of adhesive techniques on the other. I addition, the digital revolution plays a major role as diagnostic and therapeutic tool to treat partial edentulism with fixed rehabilitations. Furthermore, this lecture will address the different strategies for long-term success and strategies for treatment sequencing according to their corresponding prosthetic designs. One important factor in the treatment of this cohort of patients is the criteria used for maintain or extracting teeth and the timing of planning a comprehensive oral rehabilitation vs conforming treatment. This lecture intends to present in a systematic way clinical, scientific, and oral rehabilitation related information leading to translational clinical recommendations in the treatment of partially edentulous patients with fixed prosthesis.
Objectives: Upon completion of this lecture, participant should be able to:
‐ Familiarize with current concepts in full arch rehabilitations for fixed prosthesis.
‐ Assess associated strategies for treatment planning and sequencing.
‐ Widen treatment options using a selective approach.
