Naziv predavanja:
Science behind one abutment one time

The „One Abutment, One Time“ (OAOT) concept has gained significant attention in implant dentistry due to its potential to enhance peri-implant tissue health and long-term outcomes. This lecture will elaborate the scientific principles behind OAOT, emphasizing its role in maintaining soft tissue stability, peri-implant marginal bone levels,  and reducing biological complications.

OAOT involves the placement of a definitive abutment at the time of  surgery minimizing subsequent disconnections. This approach is based on the hypothesis that repeated abutment manipulation can disrupt the soft tissue seal and peri-implant mucosal integrity, leading to microbial invasion and inflammation. Scientific evidence demonstrates that OAOT significantly reduces marginal bone loss and fosters a stable soft tissue barrier by preserving the biological width and peri-implant environment.

By presenting the latest research and clinical recommendations, this lecture aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the OAOT concept and its role in optimizing implant therapy for improved patient outcomes.
